Doorkeepers ministry
Vision:
To serve, protect, and usher people in an uninterrupted worship, study of the Word, and flow of the Holy Spirit
Mission:
Provide a safe, friendly, and conducive environment for the spiritual growth and place of worship so everyone can attain righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
The Ushers, Greeters, and Security ministry serves as the church’s doorkeepers to ensure that worshippers feel welcome and safe while attending worship service. We assist the Pastor in maintaining peace and order so members and visitors will receive the message without interruption. Our responsibility is to help all who come to worship feel joy, peace, and comfort when they enter the doors of the church. Since we are the first group of people that visitors and members see, it is important for us to wear our best smiles and offer our sincere approach. We call ourselves the “face” of Lion’s Heart. From the parking lot, security personnel are guiding worshippers to properly park their cars; and as soon as they enter the church, ushers/greeters are ready to greet them with a warm welcome and a big smile and usher them to their seats.
In order to provide safety for everyone, our security personnel are strategically positioned all over the church premises. This year, we are enhancing LHCM safety and security procedures by conducting mock drills in case of fire, natural disaster or if there’s an active shooter. We are also in the process of establishing lockdown and evacuation procedures. In ushering, we’re still working on effectively seating people in front so as to save the back seats for latecomers and mothers with little kids, and making sure that congregants silence their phone so as to prevent disrupting the service. Through all these, we in the Doorkeepers Ministry continue to pursue our goals, our mission and our vision such that Lion’s Heart Christian Ministries will always be a safe, peaceful and friendly haven of worship.
