Dance team information & sign-up

Contest Prize:
• First place receives $500.00 and a trophy
• 2nd and 3rd place will get consolation prizes

Requirements:
•Registration Fee is $100 per solo contestant or dance group. The showdown is limited to ten contenders only (first come first serve basis)
• Cancellation fee is non-refundable
• Deadline of registration is on April 6, 2019
• Minimum of 1 and maximum of 8 dancers per group
• All music must be submitted in MP3 format by April 6, 2019
• All participants must sign a waiver regarding injuries during the event
• All participants must submit a 30–60 second intro video clip about their group. Submit via email: noliorbs70@yahoo.com or within the registration form
• A representative from each group must come on Saturday, April 6 from 9–11 AM to learn a 2–3 minute routine which will serve as opening number for the dance contest. This is a 2 hour practice, snacks will be provided. Choreography by Erwin DeJesus and Maricel Roxas. Participants will also pick their number on that day.

Contest Rules:
• All wholesome dance styles welcome (hip-hop, modern, cultural, etc.)
• Dance performance should be 5–10 minutes long.
• Each group will be allowed an hour practice on the stage by appointment only on April 3, 4, 10, or 11 from 6–9 PM. To schedule a practice session, e-mail Noli at noliorbs70@yahoo.com
• Music should be with non-explicit and vulgar lyrics
• No erotic dance moves
• Attire:
-Modest and non-revealing clothing. This is a family friendly event.
-Must wear appropriate costume – No crossdressing (men as men, women as women regardless of personal preference)
• Drinking alcohol, smoking, and drugs are prohibited in church premises
• Foul language is prohibited
• Public display of affection is prohibited
• We have the right to disqualify/stop a contestant if they violate a rule
• LHCM is not responsible for any lost or damage item or belongings

Technique – 30%
Execution – 25%
Showmanship- 25%
Musicality – 10%
Choreography – 10%
